Every year, the Miss Indian New Mexico Pageant is held in Albuquerque, NM.

Miss Indian New Mexico Pageant

Each year contestants from all over the state come to compete in the Miss Indian New Mexico pageant. Our contestants are outstanding young ladies who exemplify the teachings of tribal communities and demonstrate our future leaders.

The pageant is usually held over two days of competition; comprising of traditional talent, traditional skill, contemporary talent, personal interview, an impromptu question, and a written test of New Mexico State knowledge.

The 2025 Miss Indian New Mexico pageant will be held on May 17, 2025 at the UNM Continuing Education Auditorium in Albuquerque, NM.

The 2025 Pageant applications will be available January 6, 2025 and will be due March 7, 2025 at 5pm MST.

Candidate Qualifications for Miss Indian New Mexico -

• A candidate for the Miss Indian New Mexico Pageant must be eighteen (18) years of age and not older than twenty-five (25) years of age. The candidate must have turned age eighteen (18) at the time of submittal of application. Applicant must provide proof of age: Birth Certificate, State or Tribal issued identification.

• Tribal Affiliation: A candidate must be an enrolled member of any Federally recognized Tribal Nation in the State of New Mexico. The candidate must provide a copy of Certificate of Indian Blood.

• Residency: An applicant must be a current legal resident of the State of New Mexico and must have been a legal resident of the State of New Mexico one (1) year prior to filing applications to be considered a candidate for the Miss Indian New Mexico Pageant. Proof of Residency shall be required (State or Tribal issued identification bearing address, school enrollment, utility bill, voter registration, etc.)

• Marriage / Children: An applicant must not be married and must not have children.

• Criminal Convictions: An applicant must not have been convicted of any felonies.

• Pageant availability: An applicant must be available for all pageant events.

• An applicant must meet all of the above requirements before or at the start of the pageant date.

2023 Miss Indian New Mexico Pageant

The 2023 Pageant saw contestants from the Navajo Nation and the Jicarilla Apache Nation. These contestants demonstrated to our judges traditional skills and knowledge.
